Mr. Gochberg first entered the real estate investment management area when he joined Smith Barney in 1969 to create and run its real estate subsidiary, Smith Barney Real Estate Corporation, of which he was President and Chief Executive Officer until 1984.

From 1979 through 1990, Mr. Gochberg was President and Chief Executive Officer of Security Capital Corporation, an AMEX-listed financial holding company, which acquired Smith Barney Real Estate Corporation in 1984.

Mr. Gochberg was a founder of the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA), serving as PREA’s first President and second Chairman.  PREA was created as an outgrowth of Mr. Gochberg’s successful efforts in obtaining the enactment of the federal legislation which allowed pension and profit sharing plans under most circumstances to invest in leveraged properties without incurring unrelated business taxable income (UBTI).

John Gochberg joined TGM in 2000 first as an Acquisitions Analyst and then he became an Acquisitions Officer from 2001 to 2003.  From 2003 to 2008, Mr. Gochberg became Director of Property Operations and was Chief Operating Officer from 2008 to 2017.  In 2017 Mr. Gochberg became Co-Chief Executive Officer and President.  Mr Gochberg oversees all TGM’s day-to-day operating groups which include: Acquisitions, Property Operations, Accounting, Finance, and Investor Relations.  He is Co-Head of the Investment Committee and chairs the Operating Committee.

Prior to joining TGM’s staff, Mr. Gochberg was a member of the United States Sailing Team from 1992 to 2000 and holds several national championships.

Additionally, from 1997 to 2000, Mr. Gochberg was a partner in Sailing Resources Inc., a company focused on coaching high level sailors and the marketing of racing boats and other related products.

Steven Macy, CPM®, co-founded TGM with Thomas Gochberg in 1991.  He is a member of the Investment Committee.  During TGM’s formative years he was head of Asset and Property Management and since 2005 he has devoted full time to property acquisitions.  He is a member of the Operating Committee.

Mr. Macy worked at Smith Barney Real Estate Corporation from 1974 to 1984 and at its successor company, Security Capital Real Estate Corporation, from 1984 to 1987.  His responsibilities involved nationwide property management for these organizations which managed a portfolio valued in excess of $1 billion.

From 1987 to 1991, Mr. Macy was Senior Vice President of Integrated Resources, Inc. and a Director and member of the Office of the President and Executive Vice President of its subsidiary, Resources Property Management Corporation.  He was responsible for the management of Integrated’s national portfolio of 32,000 apartments valued at more than $1.2 billion.

Mr. Macy is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management and holds the Institute’s Certified Property Management designation.  Mr. Macy also belongs to the National Apartment Association and the National Multi Housing Council where he served on the Board of Directors from 1990 to 1991.

Michael Frazzetta joined TGM in May of 2002 as Chief Financial Officer, responsible for TGM’s treasury, accounting, and control functions, as well as oversight of investor relations.  He is a member of the Investment and Operating Committees.

From 2000 through 2001, Mr. Frazzetta was Chief Financial Officer/Chief Administrative Officer for Barnard & Co., LLC, which represented a European family group in its global venture capital activities which included direct investments, fund investments, and public market investments resulting from private equity activities.

From 1992 to 2000, Mr. Frazzetta was employed as a Senior Manager in the New York office of Arthur Andersen LLP, first in it Audit and Business Advisory group and then in the Transaction Advisory group. He was a founding member of Arthur Andersen LLP’s national Transaction Advisory Practice.

Mr. Frazzetta is a Certified Public Accountant.  He is a member of the AICPA, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, the NAREIT, and the Urban Land Institute.

Zachary Goldman joined TGM as an Acquisitions Associate in 2007 and served as Director of Special Projects from 2008 until September 2009, when he became Director of Operations.  He is a member of the Investment and Operating Committees.  Mr. Goldman has been involved in real estate since 2004, and is based in TGM’s Headquarters in New York City.

As Director of Operations, Mr. Goldman is responsible for managing and overseeing TGM’s day-to-day multifamily operations, which includes marketing, leasing, maintenance, construction, energy management, training, and human resources.  Mr. Goldman is involved in the implementation of new business strategies developed to maximize the value of TGM’s operating assets.

Prior to joining TGM, Mr. Goldman was an Associate Director at Ocean Atlantic, a national residential developer, where he was responsible for the entitlement, planning and development of mixed-use communities.
